Portraits

I got to spend half a day and a morning with Mrs. Garcia, principal at Nolan Middle School. She was also my principal at Bellaire Elementary School. This picture was taken in her office and all i had her do was kind of lean against her desk and place her hand on the top.

Next, we went down to the library, and I just had her lean against the shelf. I had to be careful with kids being in the background.

Mrs. Garcia had a co-worker in her office talking one morning. I just stepped in her office while they were talking and snapped a quick picture. The only thing I did to the picture was adjust the levels a little.

For this picture all I really did was fix the levels and crop it.

The AP had a visit with Mrs. Garcia that day also about something important. I had to put the camera on manual focus and I turned down the opacity on the action I set on the picture and adjusted the levels a little.

Mrs. Garcia had a sit-in on a 7th grade class. I got there right before she was about to leave. The kids in the class were very curious of what I was doing but I felt a little awkward when they were all starring at me.

I went to the front of the room when the bell rang and wanted to get Mrs. Garcia walking behind the kids to get out. I adjusted the levels a little and cropped some.

I walked into the lunch room with Mrs. Garcia and walked around with her and I really like how this one came out. I did have to crop a little to make it look more focused on her and the student.

The hand-off of the note was unwanted from my aunt, but they were just joking about it. I only had to fix the levels a little in this picture.

I had a lot of fun hanging out at my old Middle School with a former principal, my dad, and my aunt. If I could go back and take more picture I would and after looking at these pictures, I’ve noticed and thought of other ways to take pictures.
